My name is Sonia, I am 24 years old and decided to take five months to fulfill a decade-old dream of mine: Bumming around in South America. It is not the most ambitious nor most original dream, and I do not profess to be a great writer or storyteller, but this blog serves as my record of events, as well as things that have evoked any kind of an emotional  response for me (mostly it seems to be happiness and gratitude). I left my wonderful but challenging job as an oncology nurse in Seattle to make the trip, and I am endlessly grateful for the opportunities I have been afforded.
